HOW TO GIVE A DHARMA TALK
a weekend workshop with David Nichtern & the Dharma Moon Team
October 22nd - 24th
Friday 7-9pm, Saturday & Sunday 10am-6pm ET
Cost: $300
In your 100hr Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Training, we focused strongly on developing a clear understanding of the mindfulness meditation instruction in order to help you set your students up for success in launching and sustaining this core practice.
But once your students get going, what’s next? How do you continue to guide your students through their meditation practice beyond the introductory level?
Of course you will continue to support your students in deepening their practice and actual experience, but it will also become important to help them deepen their “view”. The view helps bring precision and clarity to our practice - having the proper attitude and understanding of what it is we are trying to cultivate and how to go about it.
Without a clear understanding of the view, our practice can become lethargic, confusing, and even frustrating. Studying the dharma and developing the view can help to clarify the meditation method, overcome obstacles, and make our practice more effective and fruitful.
This weekend module is highly recommended for all MMTT grads who received their certification prior to our Fall 2021 program. We will work on the simple premise of presenting a “dharma talk” - starting with the essentials of precision, gentleness and letting go. We will help you build your template for this kind of presentation so you know how to properly structure and deliver it - adding the dharma talk to your toolbox for skillfully leading students along their journey.
